Echternach, Luxembourg ? FANUC has announced a new function for the 30i and 31i-A5 Series of CNC control systems. "3D Rotary Error Compensation" improves the correction of geometric machine errors by including not only linear axes but also any rotary axes that are used in the machining envelope. Therefore, in contrast to most current compensation options, this function is able to process three-dimensional measurement data for the overall machine volume and makes it ideal for five-axis machines.
